[haflingerfriends] Re: Cheap bit warmer

Yep! I've made one and added dried Lavender from my garden and used the same thing to soothe a sore stiff neck. What an economical way to make a bit warmer. At our barn I see old socks used as tail bags or hand mitts for rubbing the dirt off hooves for hoof treatments and all kinds of things. There are old socks all over the place. I don't have to worry about warming a bit very often here in western Oregon, but when I was a kid in Montana I used to drape the bridle over my neck, under my jacket and tuck the bit under my shirt as I groomed. Brrrr! Such dedication to the comfort of my little old Tennesee Walker mare. LOL
