[haflingerfriends] Re: chocolate Haffie

Hey Jen,

So are you going to get her? You should if you like her so much. If her conformation and temperment are what you want and works with you, don't worry about her color. Your not getting her as a broodmare AND if you do breed her down the line you said it would be for yourself. You'll make the right decision. And papers don't make the horse. They are important yes if your breeding and such, but even if she didn't have papers I would go 'look elsewhere' if your not going to be breeding her yearly. You can still promote the heck out of her and the haflinger breed with a grade haflinger. Heck I do it with Rosie all the time. She is a grade. Do I care? nope, love her to pieces. Was even offered 20k for her because of her temperment, conformation and all I've trained her to do. I turned that down as that won't get me much here in cali and I'd be out a great little horse.

My three breeding haflingers are all papered. I want to be a responsible breeder in that part and know the lineage of my horses that I breed.

So do you have pictures of this little chocolate filly? if so can you post a link? I'd LOVE to see her. I plan on buying a coming 2yr old filly next month who is out of a chocolate haflinger mare, but her mane and tail were the same color as her body but she throws beautiful gold foals! Can't wait to see how this filly sheds out this year! I'll post pictures of course once I get her. Take care!

Where it is supposed to be in the 70's today and I am going to be cleanin up my two studs and perhaps go on a ride at the beach!
