So sorry to hear about nature at work. This is why I do not really watch nature programs. It always seems to show the circle of life and I am too much of a whimp to acknowledge it. I am so sorry for the loss..Alto is a beautiful boy and I feel for the mare. I know after giving birth to my daughter, I would have taken on a grizzley bear to defend her. I hope the mare is not in too much distress for too long...can you freeze the colostrum?
