Yes you can freeze colostrum. I worked on a TB farm foaling out mares and the mares that had huge bags we milked some colostrum out for the 'just in case' foals that became orphans or their mom dripped it all out for days before foaling etc...
I know last year when my mare aborted she did fine in a day or two after the loss of her filly. I was the one having a harder time of it. they usually adjust fine.
