[haflingerfriends] Pro/Prebiotics

I have been using a prebiotic called Forco for many years (more than 20).  It is powdered and EXTREMELY palatable.

What prebiotics do is feed the good bacteria.  It is extremely hard for any live "bugs" to get through the acid bath of the stomach plus many of the so-called probitics are strains that grow in human guts, not horse guts.

I learned about Forco when I was living in CA and belonged to TTEAM, Linda Tellington Jones group.  I bought it from a man named Oliver Hinkle  an equine nutritionist in Visalia.  Oliver developed Forco.  Forco is still a one-product company to my knowledge.  It is inexpensive and one of those products that you start and stay on forever.  It also works on dogs, cats, birds..etc because it feeds the bacteria rather than contains live organisims.

You can google Forco and Natural Care Products or Oliver Hinkle.  Oliver passed away last year or buy it direct from the company in Colorado.

I have seen Forco work wonders on all sorts of ailments, especially loose manure, chronic low weight etc.  It is safe, has no drugs in it and no fillers.
