[haflingerfriends] Re: chocolate Haffie

You are correct, those are not good traits for a breeding animal. I almost bought a lovely mare who had dark hairs in her mane, but at the time I was thinking breeding. My mare that I did buy has some roaning, which was noted in her inspection papers, but she is still an acceptable color, and her two children have no sign of roaning, and they are 7 and 8. No white ankles, however. I do love the sight of the white manes, I can see them from this computer. They are looking at the lifting fog, the sun is out, the temp is 40, occasional rain.
