[haflingerfriends] Re: Two short vids of driving Cookie

Sylvia, I knmow a lot of people drive from the right side. I think that custom began in Europe where they drive cars from the right side too.

I learned in a low easy entry cart and found I didn't have enough vision over the horse to see traffic on my left, so drove it on the left to be safer. Now I drive the gig cart and can see well from either side - but I'm sort of used to the left side now. We have lots of curves, some blind, and I just try to be as safe as possible since I have no arena, just the roads to practice.

So I have sort of forsaken the right-side driving to old custom, BUT I am driving Achenbach method. I decided to learn that way so it becomes second nateur. Since I ride English, I figure I'll always be able to drive two-handed when I need or want to.

Just doing my best to learn well and stay safe!
