One thing to keep in mind is that people who meet horses on trails or see them in shows (non-breed specific) usually don't get the chance to ask "is that a papered haflinger?" No - they usually assume such - or if they do get a chance, they just ask "is that a haflinger?" I've only been asked a handful of times if either of my haflingers have papers outside the discussions on this list. In real life - its usually only those who are already familiar with the breed already that will ask. Considering this - even grades end up promoting and/or hurting the breed whether its intentional or not.
