I think the best treatment for "hair" is nutrition. The stuff you apply to the "outside" is just a band-aid until you get the "inside" fixed. I personally find flax seed very useful for producing a great hair coat (along with mane and tail)

Okay - I know that in the archived messages there are probably a TON of threads regarding this topic but I haven't gotten to them yet.
Winston's tail is much less full than it used to be. He likes to rub and it also has high breakage. I have tried all the oils and mane and tail products and the Listerine treatment and nothing is working. He doesn't rub anymore but it still is so dry and brittle. So.....what are some products that might work well?
Also - because he likes to roll in the mud his flaxen mane and tail are now - well - NOT white. So what do I do - especially when I can't bathe him - to get them back to the sparkling white that is so beautiful!
