I have 3 haflingers, ages 14, 8 and 7, and they show no signs of ringbone. If I were you I would continue to train her, maybe give her some meds, I forget what I gave Verena, she does not get it now but is not lame at 27. It was a pill I ground up and put in her senior feed. A long name. They also recommended trimming the hoof to a 55 degree angle so it would break over easily. That is all it took, and she was shown until age 17 or 18, ridden regularly until 2004 when we moved up here. I do not consider dressage hard on any horse, as it builds up their muscles, which helps all the joints. (Us too)
Geri in Williams, Oregon, where it is still winter.
