[haflingerfriends] colic

Hi Gang, Colic can happen so quickly in winter. I have a lot of heated water buckets and troughs for my horses. I can't believe how much water they have been drinking this winter. Imagine if, with all the hay they are eating and not drinking enough water to help pass it through?? Moral of the story is, make sure you have them watered enough or you will have a lot of colic!!!! I know there are other reasons but I have noticed a big increase in their water intake this year? Francine Sugar Creek Haflinger Farm
