I guess if you swing on and the ponies groan and sway its time to hook up with Jenny Craig?

Subject: [haflingerfriends] Rider weight?

Hi All,
We are all aware that our golden ponies are renowned to be good weight carriers, but I am uncertain of how much weight the varying 'types' of haflinger can carry.
I know that there are a lot of factors to consider merely than the weight of the rider,ie rider balance, horse condition, bone measurement etc, but is there any rule of thumb for say a modern (sport) type, cobby type and the of course, the tank type!?
I would be most grateful for your opinions.
Thanks
Zoe (UK)
