   Lene, I thought the exact same thing and I'm a "yankee". Europeans are not going to be  any different that anyone else when it comes to attachment, or more inclined to destroy a
beloved pet over its not being up to snuff in someone else's eyes. 
 
  Just because a person has been advised that their horse is not worthy of breeding in no way makes it any less valuable as a friend, companion, riding, driving, or performance animal. 
 
 In fact after looking over the American Haflinger site and the horses for sale on it, it looks to me like the "doing" horses are what people are asking the most money for. I see this trend across all the breeds I'm familiar with. 
 
 Karen G, here in 32 degree Arkansas, with the promise of mid 40's weather and sunshine today and tomorrow. I just may hitch those two new Haffies up today! Wish me luck, I may need it. lol!

How do you know this ?????
As a European it does make me a bit cranky when (yet again) unsubstantiated rumours are spread about how people outside US treat their horse.
