WHY ARE THEY CHANGING THE HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS?
DOES THAT MEAN THAT AHA IS CHANGING THEIRS ALSO
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR HORSE IS UNDER THE LIMITS?
THEY ARE GOING TO BREED THE BREED RIGHT OUT OF THE HAFLINGER
LOOK WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO THE QUARTER HORSE
IT'S VERY HARD TO FIND A QUARTER HORSE THAT DOESN'T HAVE A LAMENESS ISSUE
THIS DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE
I AM SO SORRY THIS IS HAPPENING

Hey Elizabeth and Geri,
While the WHF may have raised the height of the haflinger, there are still a lot of people here in the US like you and I who do enjoy our shorter haffy's. The people I got my stallion from have been breeding for over 25 years and all their haffy's are pretty much 14hh and under. Since I am now starting my breeding program I plan to keep my haffy's on the shorter side. So do not fret, there are still people who will say screw the WHA with the changing the standards of the haffy when so many were attracted to the breed for stockiness, sturdiness, shortness, temperment, gourgous, what have you and keep breeding our short little draft horses. :)
Someone had mentioned indiviuals who want their voices to be heard to write letters to the WHA, I think that is a great idea.
