Where in Westerville?
I grew up there, graduated from Westerville High in 1975 (the last year that there was just one high school,) then started my school-bus driving there from 1991 till we moved out here in 1998. (I still have friends that are still drivers and custodians for Westerville Schools.)
Also used to board my horses at what used to be the boarding stable on 3C Highway, where the new Post Office and strip mall is, now. They just tore down what used to be my parents' old house, which wound-up on the corner of 3C (Rt.#3) and what is now Polaris Pkwy.
Wow...brings up memories...I used to ride my Arab mare up the road to Maxtown and all over the place around Hoover, Central College, Dempsey Rd, etc. (The lawn in front of the factory on Maxtown that used to be the old Fruehauf Trailer Factory was a great place for a hand gallop!)
And, when the railroad track had been cleared away, before there was a bike trail there, I used to ride my mare into Westerville that way, and ride around on the back streets just for fun.
Also rode her up to Doc. Henschen's Vet clinic to breed her to my friend's Arab stallions, a couple times. (She worked there, and her farm was on Old State Rt.3, just up the road from Countryside Vet Clinic.)
Okay...I feel old now...*chuckle*
