was neglected that I took in. My vet actually recommended that he come to
me (dressage history & Arabian which was right up my alley at that time) and
he was very thin, wormy, later found to have ulcers. He was an aged
Arabian. Due to his lack of care in his later years he was very worm
infested so I was very worried about how he would react to the change of
lifestyle in general but also to hitting him with a deworming schedule. I
honestly feel the probiotics were very helpful and kept him on them once a
month. I used the paste and along with his deworming he was given
probiotics. He finished his life out here with us. Since then we've had
younger very healthy geldings and I've kind of veared away from using them.
No real reason just stopped and haven't picked it back up. You know how
that goes. In my opinion I feel probiotics are great for all horses. I
know, I know, so why aren't I still using them??? LOL
