Re: [haflingerfriends] I did it!!!

That makes two of us. Last weekend our haffie #2 arrived in here (Sacramento) from Oregon. He will be my daughter's primary mount so she got to re-name him. She now calls him "Babe" which is very cute, but I can't seem to stop wanting to call him "Bubuh".

He looks like a Bubuh to me. Slightly overweight, big thick head...we adore him already! I think I now own one of each type -- a classic "drafty" haffie and a more modern build. Bubuh...I mean, Babe is built more on a rectanglular sillouette while Toby is built on the square.

I hope you can get your second one soon. It was so hard for me to wait, not knowing if/when the weather was going to cooperate and our weather out here is no where as severe as yours. I wish you the very best!

Marilyn

Yep, I did it. Today I became the proud owner of my second Haflinger! This snowstorm put transportation plans on hold, but I'm going to go get her as soon as the weather clears! She's 10, rusty but she rides, I'm told she drives and came WITH a cart so I guess we'll find that out soon. She's all Haffie....friendly, nose trouble, inquisitive and SMART!! She's the old style, short and drafty.....just perfect to me! And, yes, she's registered. Now I have two registered Haflingers, so I guess I should just go ahead and join the AHR! :-) Thanks for listening to my excitement!

PS--I'm taking suggestions on a name. She's registered as Easter Down Easy, the lady that had her was calling her Lady among other things, but I am hoping to find something a little more creative, so if anyone else is snowed in and looking for something to do, do a little brainstorming and let me know what you come up with! Thanks!!
