I can suggest Claire Lattimore at Rood and Riddle in Kentucky.  She is one of the leading equne opthalmologists in the country.  The mare would do best in familar surrounding with a mate that has a bell on their halter.  Don't change her routine!  Unfortunately I do have too much experience with equne blindness.  Meg in Ohio

Hello all

I just learned today of a a 5 yr old mare that is blind with cataracts that is being offered for sale. She is pure bred but was never registered, and she WAS trained and broke. Since blindness she does get spooked. A local vet said her eyes could be fixed but its beyond his expertise. I need opinions, ideas, leads of vets or specialists who provide this service.
