We are looking at two Haflinger fillies & one is the beautiful chestnut & blonde the other is a dark chestnut - I think referred to as Chocolate? Is this correct? Is this a desirable or undesirable trait in the Haflinger world? Both parents of the Chocolate girl are the light chestnut & blonde typical Haflinger.
The color really doesn't matter to me as we are just looking for a youngster to work with, but I'm curious as I've never seen that dark of a Haflinger.
The chocolate filly has the double mane that I just love also - just the color is throwing me off. Where does this come from - is it only in a certain line? I'd love to find out more if anyone has any knowledge to share!
