[haflingerfriends] Re: Probiotics?

Hi Barbara,

Wow... I had switched from LMF lo carb feed to Triple Crown low starch on the advice of an equine nutritionist. She felt Triple Crown has better standards of quality. The price is comparable, it is just Triple Crown is harder for me to get. I thought they were comparable products.
Anyhow... I have been using Triple Crown and did not realize it had probios in it until you just stated that. I just looked up the ingredients, and I am so happy to see that. I do not think the LMF products had them. So, I may be weaning the horses off of the extra probio powder and seeing what happens. You may have just saved me some $$$! Thank you!

Diagnoses w/ ulcers in July (?) -stress related I'd guess (did not like being away from home?) Anyway - I put her on probios to aid in her digestion - she apparenlty has trouble digesting hay - GREAT - anyway - I keep her weight managed - she is also back to work and doing GREAT - thank GOD - but I have changed her to something called FAST TRACk - and I'll also be changing her feed to something called Triple Crown Lite because the probiotics are contained IN the feed. (at which time I'll discontinue the fastrack supplement). The fastrack has been proven to have more LIVE culture than Probious - what you want is live cultures.
