[haflingerfriends] Re: Marlene and Charley

Geri, I posted an ad on Craigslist. I was clear on what I wanted and expected, and was totally honest about Charlie. I received a few responses but hers hit the right chord with me. We emailed a little, then talked on the phone, then met at a local store. I wanted to make sure I felt comfortable with her before letting her know exactly where Charlie is boarded, for his sake and also the barn owner's sake. I had permission from the barn owner before I placed my ad. She just happened to be a college student, and she's terrific. She had another great 2 hour ride on Charlie on Saturday. She even took a spin on him bareback, and sidepassed him to open a gate! She is over 18 and was asked to sign a waiver from the barn owner. I'll keep in touch about how it's going, but so far so good!
