I was at the Equine Affaire on Friday to watch the Haflinger demo in the afternoon, and stayed for the Extreme Cowboy Challenge in the evening to watch Jennifer and Native Rosie compete.
The Haflinger demo was great, showing how versital and beautiful our horses are! Rosie did her tricks and laid down and rolled over on her back with Jennifer sitting on her. So cute!
Jennifer and Rosie were second to the last to compete at the Extreme Cowboy Challenge on Friday night. The pressure must have been tremendous. I saw her afterwards and she was relieved it was over. There were I think 17 in that group. And I'll tell you, that competition is intense! I so admire Jennifer for participating in this. She and Rosie did an AWESOME job! Everyone loved the Haflinger, too! I don't know if she made it in to the finals because I didn't go back yesterday. But they were going to pick 10 finalists out of I think 32 competators, and one wild card. And they were going to make the course even harder.
I'm thinking she'll be home today and update us on what happened if she competed yesterday, too. It was so much fun to watch and cheer everyone on, especially Jennifer and Rosie. Jennifer is an awesome rider and that little Haflinger is a great horse. She's really getting out there showing the world what wonderful horses these Haflingers are!
