[haflingerfriends] Camryn makes escape attempt

I have a good view of Camryn in her paddock from the kitchen.  As I made dinner this evening I noticed her craning her neck over the gate.  Of course I stopped what I was doing to watch closer.  In just a few moments I saw her unlatch the gate and attempt to push it open.  I say attempt as fortunatly I'd only removed enough snow for myself to get thru the opening.  One good thing about over a foot of snow & an overweight haffi I guess!!!  I threw on my coat and headed out, as I approached she looked up with an innocent look of a "but, I was just gonna come see if dinner was ready Ma, honest"  and backed the part she'd managed to squeeze thru back into the paddock.  Tommorrow I Camryn proof that latch as I only used twine till I put her in for the night.  Oh, the yard she'd have escaped to is also completely fenced, I told hubby if he ever hears someone knocking at the back door that it's most likely Camyrn.  What a stinker!
