RE: [haflingerfriends] now heads and tails; was/ Re: Tails you're it! KIOLA

Kiolak:

I know you were talking about English stirrups, that is why I thought it was
so funny. The picture of them sitting there among the plates, forks,
glasses, etc. all nice and warm after the cycle is through just tickled me.

On the serious side, I tend to agree with you about where the stirrups "have
been". But the bits in the dishwasher is a great idea, I feel I can not get
them as clean as I like, so I am going to try that. Thanks for the idea and
the laugh.

KIOLA

LOL...
I was talking about English stirrup irons... but I heard you could also do
the rubber pads. I dunno... I think that may be pushing it. A horse bit only
has horse slobber and chewed grass on it, and actually I wipe mine down with
an unscented baby wipe after every ride, so the dishwasher is more of a deep
cleaning option.
The stirrup irons and rubber pads though... they come in contact with horse
poo and stuff we step on. I just don't know if even I can see that going
through the dishwasher with things we eat off of. Even on the Sani rinse
setting!
