Hello Haffy Friends... I just read all your posts about Equestfest! It was so great seeing you all with name tags saying "Haflinger Friends"..that was so cool! Thanks for coming to support us and coming by the barn to say, "Hello!" And, yes, that was me driving the Rose Queen and the Court with my gelding and my husbands gelding (mine is the one with the insanely long hair!) That was the highlight of our day!! It was such an honor. I watched the broadcast last night.. and it was funny with all the "Haflinger pony" comments.. At least we got the "horses" into the spotlight for the world to see. They looked great in the presentation, although they showed mostly the driving horses and not the center horses with me on "Manny", Marjorie Puckett w/ Mariko and Jennifer Rose w/ "Native Rosie". But the fans liked seeing Rosie doing her tricks in the Grand Finale... and people wanted to touch or see Manny's macrame braid up close, which made me miss the live interview on RFD-TV... oh well. I was so excited I got distracted! We are bummed b/c it's raining.. I hope the boys aren't too dirty. I want to give them one last bath so the SHINE on parade day! We are #12... at 8:54 a.m. Our position was changed... we are right before the phantom jets fly over and perform the missing man formation! Yikes!! That will be LOUD at 9 a.m. Hopefully AFTER our camera moment on TV corner!! Wish us luck! Jen Wells and Roland Schmitz
