Re: [haflingerfriends] Re: Carol/chunky = Vac.

At the place i took lessons at when i was younger, they got a police horse that "failed". Apparently while out on patrol, it felt the need to sit on the hood of a very shiney, expensive red sports car. I forgot the exact car, might have been a porshe.

The horse was a belgian /TB cross. I never rode that one in lessons.

Hi Beth,
I am a retired officer from Pittsburgh, Pa. I was the "foundation" mare (lol) for our mounted unit. Our anti-horse, anti-police, chief disbanded the unit after 9 years. I retired shortly afterwards after 23 years on the street. My brilliant partner, Donald Duck, died on Aug.17,09; he was a Morgan/Quarter. As you know, my life depended on him every single day as his depended on me. This is a bond few will every have the privilege to expreince. Now, I must NOT compare my new horse to my old horse...she is my horse, her own self and I will enjoy who she is and the journey to finding out just who that is. My ribs are still healing and the lung is still badly bruised. Well it is freezing cold here so I am not missing riding! Be safe.
Fraternally,

Hi Hetty,
working as a mounted officer it was important that our partners always
looked their best at all times. We used a shop vac with great results. We
switched to an equine vac only because it/they are easier to lift and move
around...it also did a great job. The bags/cansters are small and must be
emptied often.

Hello all: Does anyone have any experience with equine vacumes? Thinking
about trying a shop vac to get rid of all the winter dust and dander. Are
the actual equine vac's different then a shop vac? thanks
