I just got my Haffie, ten days ago. I was raised around horses. But I did not buy my first one until my own children were raised (I was over 50 also). Then I got a couple of minis "for the grandchildren." I have wanted a haflinger for a couple of years now. "Timmie is 6 years old-and only green broke." I am planning to have an Amish trainer finish him before spring.

Jannus is a 9 year old gelding, born in the NL and came over to the UK
in 2007. He lived on a farm in Wales for 2 yers, mostly as a pet, with
very little work to do. Now he is being asked to remember his manners
on a daily basis. Luckily he is fairly biddable and doesn't seem to
mind this too much. I am looking forward to furthering his education
(and mine).
Hoping to receive lots of tips off this site, though I may come unstuck
on some of the terminology! !
