Subject: [haflingerfriends] That's Some More Hay!
A few days I had boasted how I "cured" Charlie of his stomping habit if he got impatient for his food bowl. Well, he's set out to prove me wrong with a flurry of the "big stomps" the last few days. Today we awoke to freezing rain and went out to check on him as soon as we could. I soaked his beet pulp in hot water so it would be a little warm for him, and let him munch on a little hay while he waited. He knew I was preparing his food bowl and gave me a look and one tremendous stomp. My clever DH began to sing "When your horse stomps his foot and he gives you the look.....That' s "some more hay...." to the tune of That's amore by Dean Martin! We've been cracking up and humming that tune all day.
