Judy, I understand what you are saying and I agree! It IS sad, but hopefully Amber got herself the deal of a lifetime. These horses sure were lucky to find her, and her, them, at that price :-). It sure must be tough to be a breeder right now, trying to better the breed and seeing stuff like this but I guess it is what it is and hopefully things will get better soon!

Not sure to whom you have addresed your post, Jennifer. But my use of the word "sadly" in the subject line relates to registered stock being sold at such low prices. I often see unregistered Haflingers selling for more than that on Craigslist. It is indeed a SAD, SAD, SAD day when registered Haflingers are being sold for $200 each and additionally sad that anyone needs to sell (for whatever reason) at such a low price.
Especially in light of Dawn's recent posts about the efforts reputable breeders put into developing quality Haflingers!! But since the three registered Haflingers are for sale, I thought someone somewhere on this list might like to check them out (I'm full at two Haflingers and one little dog).
LOL "Where" the Haflingers were listed for sale had not even occurred to me! Do you honestly believe anyone would disapprove of selling on Craigslist? Gee, I check the local farm section daily... Seems to me that one place would be as good as another if it gets the selling or buying done. Judy in NE TN

I sell horses on craigslist all the time or other things...great results...unless your just sad that they are only asking $200 each for them. They must be in desperate times if they can't afford to feed a haffy.
