Re: [haflingerfriends] lubrisyn

Tami,

I think i may have first told you of Lubrisyn. I then tried out Hyaluronex Gel. seems to be the same product and a little less expensive. I normally alternate between Smart Pak and Valley Vet as far as prices go. Often the prices are about the same, once you factor in shipping. If i am getting a lot of other stuff, Smart pak with their flat rate shipping is often less money.

With that said, i have since switched my horse over to Matrix 5+HA. I have been happy with the results. It is a little more expensive, but it has other stuff in it for joints. However, price wise i am probably going to order Med Vet 5 in 1 H/A from Valley Vet. Very very similar product, but just a little different in its amount of ingredients and costs a little less than Matrix 5+HA. Also it appears that with the Med Vet 5 in 1 H/A, i would not need to feed additional vit/min supplement, although i will still feed Remission and Biotin Plus. I dont think i will ever stop feeding Remission, and i may or may not stop the Biotin Plus. So far i just see it working well enough to keep getting it. However I do not give the full amount, i only give a partial amount since Remission, and Matrix 5+ HA has biotin in it (20 mg, 16mg)

Best price i found on Med Vet 5-in-1 H/A was ValleyVet. Sometimes the companies force you into either buying too little of the product or paying too much at one time for a large container. Normally i would just buy larger containers, but spending over 300 bucks in one chunk is often a little more than i can do.

Good luck and hope that helps. I know it was more info than you wanted, but I wanted you to be aware of other products.
