NO slap intended..it is obvious that you have studied to a great extent and are generous to share the knowledge. I hate email...it just never has the tone that speaking would. I just meant that the rest of us...not growing up with horse crazy parents..could still learn and contribute. I am the only one in my extended family that is horse crazy so no one ever has understood. When doing geneology I did find that my Grand Uncles in Missouri had one of the nation's biggest mule brokerages. They sold most of the mules to the U. S. Army for WWI and had a great thing going till the war ended. People say Haflingers remind them of the mule personality..intelligent, etc. so maybe some gene in there got to me;-).
Personally I would like to nominate your story about your mare saving you in the storm for one of the best stories ever....my nomination Emily.
