Just thought when you are deciding which vehicle you are getting to begin driving, you might look at the Justin Carriage site in Michigan. They have runners that can replace wheels on certain kinds of carts and carriages and you might get more use out of a vehicle with all the snow you get up there if you could make it into a sleigh also. I do hear that driving a sleigh is somewhat different than driving a wheeled vehicle because you are depending on sliding rather than rolling. Just thought I'd throw that into the mix. Most of the vehicles that Justin makes are of fiberglass and I am not sure how that would mesh with your very cold temps. It would be lighter than wood or metal and unless you carry passengers, light is not a plus as if it is too light it becomes unstable. On my 3 phase I have to have someone go with me with my pair cause the back, would be too light. I am looking into getting an 80 lb. plate to afix to the back step to make it more stable with the pair.. Victoria da Roza, Walnut Creek, Ca.
