What do you consider a short bed truck? Ours is 6 and 1/2 feet. We pull a 16 foot gooseneck truck with a half ton 2000 extended cab chevy. The goose is not tapered because I have a mattress in there for camping. Can I pop the back window of my truck out. Sure but I am careful and never have to watch the back window unless I am making a really tight turn.

We put either saddles or cart or wagonette in the front. Close the gate and load the haflingers in the back. It is nice because you can pack the front early and load the horses and be off. It gets interesting when we load the cart and saddles in the front and put 3 haflingers in the back. That we only do when driving locally. You need to squeeze past 3 haflinger butts out the back of the trailer. Lori in WI

No problems due to the design of the nose of the trailer. I wouldn't have bought a trailer with a square nose design as that would have hit the cab in sharp turns.
