Yeah, I need another horse like a hole-in-the head, too: Was going to sell my adult saddle mare and have my younger mare eventually trained for Dressage and get lessons (life-long dream.)
BUT- had to put that dream on hold, again - my husband is now getting radiation and chemo-therapy for cancer...upshot is - looks like he is going to be fine - the only person I have ever seen to get HEALTHY looking on radiation and chemotherapy!
So...he wants to us to keep both horses and he wants to go with me to do the ride at Gettysburg in June, if at all possible.
So...I will hopefully be getting the younger mare trained in time to safely go on the Gettysburg ride. We won't be doing anything strenuous, so short rides for her at 3 yrs. old should be okay...
So...I'm thinking...hmmmm...gee...what's one more Haffie and a Good-Smaritan horse rescue situation, at that...I too am doing the inner wrestle with common sense!
