[haflingerfriends] Australian Sheepskin Saddle Pads

Does anyone here ride with a real sheepskin saddle pad? My boy is low
withered, flat backed and I have issues with saddle slippage on him
typically. I'm contemplating purchasing a new saddle pad (not to stop
slippage but rather due to the saddle's low contour) and a sheepskin pad was
recommended. I've never had one. Do they grip to the horse well, or do
they slip easily?

Also, how hard are they to clean. I see they have a special cleaner but I'm
just imagining a natural white sheepskin pad for everyday riding is going to
get grimy pretty quickly, or maybe not because it is a real coat & skin it
doesn't???

P.S. I apologize if this has already been asked, but thought I'd give it a
shot as I couldn't find it in the archives.
