Re: [haflingerfriends] T/H brand on shoulder

If she has the TH brand on the shoulder that means she was bred at the
folenhof (sp?) in Austria (I should really know how to spell that by now!). She
would be an import. I'd call the AHR, there are not all that many imports
so that narrows the list down a bit. I am not sure if it is procedure to
DNA all import horses or not but she may have a DNA done. I'd start by
calling the registry and speaking with them and if possible get a DNA test done
on her to see if she already has one with the registry. Depending on how
many horses there are you might be able to send a photo of her face marking to
see if it comes up with a match. Good luck!
