order even with just 2. I would start by placing them where they can greet
over a solid wall for a couple of days then , have someone help you walk
them together letting them share some grass, if they are getting along put
them in a field with some grass so they will want to eat instead of fighting
and when you do feed them hay make sure you have 3 or more piles as the boss
mare will have to claim all of the hay but if it is far enough apart both
mares will get to eat, if its a knock down drag out fight try to make a pen
next to each other ( hot wire works well for this) til they want to be
together.
or in my world I put them together and let them establish who is
alpha on their own.
