Subject: [haflingerfriends] White manes... wasRe: A registry for non-reg.Haffies, like "Pinto Horse Asso"?
My registered gelding was all white when I bought him at age 2. By the age of 4 several dark hairs were apparent in his mane and tail.
He kept getting more and more dark hairs UNTIL I put out loose minerals. He'll never again be totally white in mane and tail, but he has lost some of the darker hairs. Seems strange and I'm not willing to stop the minerals to test this, but I strongly believe the minerals are helping him return to and retain considerable white in his mane and tail. Judy in NE TN
