Re: [haflingerfriends] Re: Into the fold ....breeding out the Drafty

I will admit i also did see this as just an opinion. I don't care for some of the horses shown and some of those I did like. i actually wondered which stallions my mare might like. so far she has normally picked some ugly male horses at the various boarding barns i have been to, to fall in love with.

All in the eyes of the beholder. Just like i would not think everyone would find my own horse perfect in every way.

There are many people on this list and if i have to be afraid to say i dont like haflingers with true white socks, or i dont like haflingers with small eyes, then that could get really old fast. And i know there are a few out there with true white socks and small eyes.

As long as the person voicing their opinion is not doing so in a nasty, and downright hurtful manner, then i don't think there is a problem with it.

Just my opinion =)

I don't think it rude that she expressed a personal opinion. Personally, I liked some of each group and didn't like some of each group. I don't see that as an affront to the stallion owner's - simply another example of "beauty being in the eye of the beholder.

Jennifer, did you ever think that this statement is rude to the members of this list whose pictures of stallions you listed?
