Re: [haflingerfriends] Bridlepath

I usually cut one otherwise the bridle just doesn't sit right with that thick mane. When I do mine I just cut a small enough section to let the headstall settle in properly. I prefer to preserve as much mane as possible.

I'm curious how many of you cut a bridle path on your Haflingers. What is the norm for this breed, or is it merely a personal preference? My hubby wants to cut a small bridle path on our new gelding & I don't want to mar his beautiful double mane. Am I just being silly? What do others on this group do?
