Years ago we adopted a dog that had been microchipped....when the vets tried to trace the chip, they found the dog had been chipped as a young pup on a military base in JAPAN, of all places. Unfortunately no one registered the chip after that, so the trail ended. We always wondered about his story and what led him to be lost/abandoned in northern NH as he was a wonderful loving, well trained boy. We nursed him thru treatment for heart worm only to lose him to kidney disease a year or two later. Still wonder about his story.... good luck tracing your beauty of a mare.
