[haflingerfriends] Re: Fw: Hay

I use Teff hay for a couple of IR horses. It is very fine stemmed so I
also feed it to an old time AQHA who really can't eat hay anymore. As for
Sudan, it is something that we fed, mostly to cows, 30 years ago. You have
to be very careful about it when it was cut and any frosts that may have hit
it. Does something weird and becomes toxic to some horses.

Everyone else here gets rye hay - love it and so do I. Doesn't seem like
I am feeding straw since they clean it all up. Being smaller seed head
doesn't attract the rodents.
