Jennifer, perhaps a look at the purpose of saddles would give you some insight into their benefit for the equine back... hummm???

Jennifer, I've encountered soooo many arrogant western riders who think only they use 'natural' training techniques and who clearly (when you become familiar with Classical Dressage writings) take their methods from the ancients, rename things, and claim they invented it all--all to make another dollar! However, I refuse to think ALL western riders fall into that category because, to me, to pre-judge in that way is nothing more than prejudice which everyone agrees is unfair to anyone! I choose to continue to believe there are far more humble and decent western riders than the undesirable sort.....
