Thanks for the updates. Never knew there was a European Org.besides WHA. I would be interested in the whole view also. When I entered the Columbus Day Parade in San Francisco last Fall , I noted on my entry that our horses would be perfect for this parade cause the city of Hafling is in Italy...and of course we got first prize ;-). The WHA sends people for the I and C classifications and wonder why the European group does not also participate. When Herr Shweisgut was here I asked him if there were any American Haflingers he DID like cause he was very negative about the ones that were there that day. One even had the brand for breeding from the Tyrol breeders and he said oh, that would not pass the current breeding standards...so even buying from WHA people at the level of having the approved brand on the butt will not assure their approval once in America apparently! So I asked if those breeders would sell some of the top mares and stallions to the U. S. so we could also "upgrade" and he just smiled that "not going to happen" smile.
