have to be a breed registry, but ...the drafty Hafys... call it an
"interest" group, that was filled with Drafty "throw-back" Hafy's, and
unregistered Hafy's...who just love our Hafy's for who they are..."

Did not hear back ... so am guessing there is no such registry, or interest
group, out there ... for the reg. & non-reg. Haffies? I like your idea
of a step further ... for the old-style drafty Haffie.

Just checking again ... am I guessing right? There is no group out there
other than AHR, for Haflingers?

I did check for a local Haflinger "club" type group - got feedback from a
recently former officer in it - they are disbanding / in process of
disbanding. I emailed a listed officer (twice) of that group - and did not hear
back ... so am guessing the feedback is, yes the only Haflinger "club" in
my region is defunct.

Colorado is not a big Haflinger population state. The few I've come
across have been show competitors or breeders. In a decade, I can count on one
hand, the Haffie owners I've met or bumped into, in Colorado. Ellie and I
meet fellow trail riders often - and I'm usually asked what sort of horse
she is (I do a lot of informal promoting of the drafty Haffies!) ;-)
