having enough articles relevant to them, and we publish trail and pleasure
activity articles anytime we receive them. It has quite an eclectic
magazine because our membership is about as diverse as any breed group can be
(just witness the diversity of opinion represented here). Thanks for so many
ideas, all of which have been talked about previously by the Board..."

Hello, Emily -
I'm not criticizing the magazine ;-) just saying that of the
issues I've read, aside from enjoying the Haffie photos in it ... there
isn't much content for me (a simple trail rider) for me to purchase a
subscription. Someone like me (trail rider) tends to invest in "Trail Rider",
"Horse & Rider", "Western Horseman", etc (which I do, every year, those and a
few more in the same vein - because of the very relevant articles & help
tips.)
I'm not saying the AHR magazine should become those magazines -
just saying, this is why (as a non-show, non-breeder) I do not subscribe to
the magazine.
For show & breeder folks, I can see how it would be a *very* good
investment, as it has all sorts of info for those veins. ;-) Nothing
wrong with that! ;-)
It obviously has a *lot* of hard work put into it - and that is
recognized.
Just wanted to post - I'm not criticizing it - just pointing out
why I (and pershap other Haffie owners like me) don't subscribe to it.
I would be more likely to support the AHR if there was something -
anything - that related to myself & Ellie. But Ellie is one of those
non-papered Haffies, so she doesn't count. And I can only ride one at a time -
so Ellie is my trail partner.
Again - just pointing out that I *do* recognize all the hard work
put into the AHR magazine, and *do* applaud you for all that you do with
it! ;-)
.
