Hello everyone,
Ever since we lost Samantha things just are not the same without her here. When we first found Samantha we didn't even know that she was a haflinger or that she was registered. It wasn't until later after doing some research that we found out. She was quiet but a little on the dominante side. One day my husband was working in the garage and the back door was open. She walked between the two cars broke the mirror on his truck and she walked into our living room. She just stood there looking around as if to say what are you guys doing. I walked her through the house to the front yard.
She had kicked at me a few times and I was afraid of her after that.
I had put her up for sale because I didn't know how to handle her. I found a really nice, patient trainer who helped us develope a good understanding. So I took her off the market and decided that we were going to work through our differences. She died not long after this.
Now I would like to find another haflinger to live with us. Not to replace her because that is impossible. We are in Florida. I have seen a few on craigslist, but I wanted to try this list because there seem to be a lot of haflinger people here. If you know of anyone in Florida that have nice quiet ponies please let me know.
