[haflingerfriends] Frostbite Driving Show & Clinic @ The Carriage Barn, Newton, NH

The Frostbite Carriage Driving Show is celebrating its 10th year. Come
share our excitement on April 24th and 25th at The Carriage Barn Equestrian
Center in Newton, NH. The Arena Driving Trial will be on Saturday, the
24th; cones, obstacles, and dressage. Doors open at 8:30am, first
competitor in the ring at 9am. Spectators welcome!

Our judge for this year's Frostbite ADT is Shelly Temple. Ms. Temple has
been competing in combined driving events since 1997. Starting her horse
career as a teenager she foxhunted, showed hunters, evented and competed at
FEI level in dressage, was the Show Manager of Dressage at Devon for several
years, and served as the President of the Delaware Valley Combined Training
Association. She is an ADS 'R' and an USEF 'R' judge, and a member of the
ADS Licensed Officials Committee and the USEF Driving Technical Committee.
Shelly has been USEF National Champion in the Combined Driving Single Pony
division and was a member of the Bronze Medal winning US Team for the 2007
World Pony Driving Championship. Individually, she was second in dressage,
with one of only two scores in the thirties at the competition. Shelly and
her Morgan, Cooper, also won the 2006 and 2007 USEF Horse of the Year awards
for Combined Driving Single Pony. After taking some time off from
competition, Shelly and Cooper were the 2009 USEF Reserve National Champions
in the Single Pony Division. Shelly enjoys working with drivers at all
skill and experience levels. Read more about Shelly at

Wine tasting and dinner with Ms. Temple will follow the show on Saturday
evening.

On Sunday, April 25th, Shelly will offer a clinic to review results from the
show and / or prepare competitors for the coming show season.

Granite State Carriage Association will also host a fun day for members and
guests, including demonstrations, carriage quiz bowl, and team relay
activities. The Concord Coach Society will bring one of their coaches to be
part of the activities as will the Amesbury Carriage Museum. The Carriage
Barn staff will be available with our horses and carriages to demonstrate
the Carriage Association of America's Level 1 & 2 Driving Proficiency
Program.
