Shoot, we all go through it, those little glitches and thoughts focused on "what if" or looking for reasons not to ride. The thing is, once we get up there and remember how good it can be (starting just little bits at a time) it really does become a thing to look forward to doing each day, instead of feeling that you "should". There are no time limits in riding or in experiancing life. Enjoyment only comes when we are not pressured to meet someone else's ideal of what riding should be.
Ride only for yourself - to allow yourself to feel that joy and sense of accomplishment. There is no such thing as a small accomplishment when it comes to riding and horses! If you get too caught up in where you think you should be, instead of celebrating the moment - it is not going to do either you or the horses that you care for any good.
Let's face it, all of the really meaningful journeys we take in life take time and patience. We build upon the positives... Not only with training our horses, but in becoming excellent horsewomen (and men)... you are well on your way!

His mares took that moment to decide to notice that their handsome man was missing and start to run around the paddock screamimg, Jim was suggesting postponing operations for a while, Me, with BGP hitched firmly in place went NO WAY, we are doing this now.
