Hi Brandy in TX and welcome to this group. You're certainly honest and straightforward! LOL
No offence taken by me, but my story is that I find dressage extremely interesting and very challenging for me as a senior rider so I'm sticking to IT! lol And I love my Haflinger's short legs (compared to tall horses) because they put me closer to the ground for dismounting (both planned and otherwise). <G>
I'm going to respectfully stand on the other side of your fence -- perhaps we can chat amicably across it?. I understand your point of view because while I've met some wonderful folks who ride western, I've also met some that, well, "didn't impress me that much". It's unfortunate that every discipline has folks who are less than admirable to someone else, isn't it?
Hope you enjoy this group and add your knowledge to what already exists among our large membership. Will you be moving to California soon? I hear they have excellent dressage instructors out there too
-- just kidding, just kidding!!! I now have on my full cavalry armor in case you're tempted to toss some heavy cowboy boots over the fence. ;o) Judy in NE TN (where frogs are doing their croaking and geese are flying north and spring is on it's way! Yes!!)
